Our Mantra
We Rise By Lifting Others

There is a saying in the recovery community: “Give it away to keep it.” At its essence, this is the solution to recovery from addiction to drugs and/or alcohol. It means that to stay sober, you need to help someone else stay sober. It means that we can’t do it alone – we must be there to help someone else. When we help another suffering addict, we find our humanity again and miracles begin to happen. It’s powerful and, dare we say, it’s addictive.

It’s Not Easy
But It’s Simple

There is no known CURE for addiction, but it is considered a highly TREATABLE disease. In other words, there is a solution. Through our journey of addiction, rehabilitation, recovery, and relapse, most addicts admit that when they tried doing it alone, they failed. But when they asked for and got help, they experienced some success. There’s no easy route to recovery, but the solution is simple. “Give it away to keep it.”

“The greatness of a community is most accurately measured by the compassionate actions of its members”
– Coretta Scott King

The Benefits of Being
Part of a Community

Here’s what we gain by being together that we can’t accomplish alone: Camaraderie – mutual trust and friendship, New Perspectives – a fresh way to look at our situation, Self-discovery – a deeper understanding of yourself, Positive Peer Pressure – a motivating sense of accountability.

Why We Need You
To Be a Part of Our Tribe

Whether it’s talking to another addict, a therapist, or going to group meetings, we need help to stay sober. There is strength in numbers, and that’s why we created Recovery Headquarters.
